Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority says it carried out an audit of emergency preparedness, load-bearing structures and maritime systems on Maersk Drilling Norway AS' facility Mærsk Gallant - and identified four non-conformities and six areas of improvement.
"In emergency preparedness, non-conformities were identified, mainly related to standby equipment, MOB boat training and exercises, and signposting and marking of evacuation routes," the PSA said in a statemet.
Non-conformities for structures and maritime systems related to the jacking system and watertight doors were identified.
Elsewhere, there were no alarm should the maximum load be exceeded.
The PSA said four watertight doors did not close completely and marking and signposting of evacuation routes in open areas on the facility were inadequate.
Exercises with MOB boat were not planned and carried out on a regular basis.
Training and exercises with man basket and other rescue equipment were inadequate, the PSA added.
