Reservoir Exploration Technologies says its board has appointed Larry Wagner to be the new Chief Executive Officer for the Norwegian listed group - and added that its second quarter production continued to be good.

The RXT statement said its production had "continued to be good" so far in the second quarter, after record revenue and EBITDA achieved in the first quarter.

Wagner is currently the COO of RXT and has been with the company since 2004.

In addition to five years with RXT, Wagner has an additional 29 years of experience within the marine seismic business, mainly with Western Geophysical and WesternGeco.

Wagner was heavily involved in the group's latest cost reduction and operational efficiency drive.

"I have been hands on involved with the strategy to turn the company around after the challenges we have been facing, and it is my personal mission to continue this road to a successful company," Wagner said.
