Red Sea reward
 Offshore service provider Plexus has landed a £1.2 million deal to supply its patented tubular gripping and sealing technology for a new well to be drilled in the Red Sea.
Plexus has been contracted to supply one of its Pos-Grip high pressure and high temperature wellhead systems on a rental basis to Red Sea Petroleum Operating Company from December this year and the revenue from the deal could double to £2.4 m if an option on the equipment for further wells is exercised.
An 18.75 inch Pos-Grip HPHT single stack unit with blowout preventer is to be supplied for the drilling operation by Plexus.Advertisement

Shell to pay out over Nigeria caseOil giant Royal Dutch Shell PLC is to pay out £9.7m ($15.5m) to settle a lawsuit over its alleged complicity in the 1995 execution of several Nigerian environmental activists, the UK Press Association and British media reported.
