New communications head for Aker

Aker Solutions has appointed a new head of corporate communications to take over from Jannik Lindbæk who has moved to another senior communications role for Statoil.

Geir Arne Drangeid, who previously worked for Aker between 1996 and 2004 and who has enjoyed a well respected reputation with oil industry journalists, has been appointed executive vice president responsible for corporate communications in Aker Solutions.

He left the group to head corporate communications in Aker ASA, the majority owner of Aker Solutions through Aker Holding, and takes up his new post with immediate effect.

Lindbaek has moved to Statoil where he has been appointed a vice president.
