360 million deal to FMC
Published 09.03.2010 08:30:55 by Elisabeth Kolstad
FMC Technologies has entered into an agreement with Statoil for delivery of subsea equipment to the Marulk field in the North Sea.

The agreement follows an existing frame agreement, and has a value of about 360 million kroner.

FMC will deliver two subsea trees, a manifold, a foundation structure, subsea control modules and associated topside control system and equipment for the connection.

The field is located about 30 kilometreswest of Norne at a water depth of 365 meters. The first part of the development will consist of two wells tied back to the Norne FPSO. FMC's delivery includes the production of two subsea trees, a manifold, a foundation structure, subsea control modules and associated topside control system and equipment for the connection.

First deliveries are scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2011.

"We appreciate the opportunity to continue our cooperation with Statoil and Eni Norway," said Tore Halvorsen, FMC's Senior Vice President of Global Subsea Production Systems.

Eni Norway is the operator of Marulk field. The other partners include Statoil and Dong Norway.
