Petrofac pushes up figures

Energy services group Petrofac which has just announced a plan to merge its UK Don West and Don South West North Sea fields into a new company with Lundin reported a earnings up 34% to US $559 million in 2009 from $419 m. in 2008.

Petrofac's net profit for the year was also up 33% to $353.6 m from $265 m in 2008 after a 10% rise in revenue to $3.65 Bn, from $3.33 Bn in 2008.

Order intake was also up for the UK and Middle-East based contractor which said the value of its order book was now worth $8.1 Bn compared with $4.1 Bn a year ago.
