Published 17.03.2010 08:51:23 by Elisabeth Kolstad
Aker Solutions has scored the EPC contract for a platform jacket and a bridge support jacket for the new Ekofisk accommodation platform - Ekofisk 2/4L. ConocoPhillips Skandinavia, Norway has awarded Aker Solutions the important Ekofisk deal. The contract will be executed by the Aker Solutions yard in Verdal, and includes engineering, procurement, construction, load-out and sea-fastening of the steel jacket, bridge support jacket and associated piles, Aker Solutions says in a statement. The detail engineering starts immediately, while fabrication in Verdal will start in November 2010. The jacket - and the bridge support jacket - will be delivered in the spring of 2012, and will then become number 36 and 37 in the series of jackets delivered by Aker Verdal. ![]() Arrests for Greenpeace fourFour Greenpeace protesters who boarded the Stena Don rig working on a deepwater well offshore Greenland for Cairn Energy have been arrested.
