Eidesvik promotes gas powered PSV
Published 06.07.2010 10:46:02 by John Bradbury
Norway's Offshore has committed to building another Platform Supply Boat based on using gas powered propulsion, underlining it commitment to green solutions for the oil and gas industry.

Eidesvik said it will be building the fourth gas-powered PSV after a contract was agreed between Eidesvik Offshore ASA plus subsidiary Eidesvik Supply, with Kleven Maritime.

The deal is worth NKr 440 million (US $68 m) and the new vessel designated VS489 LNG is due for delivery in the spring 2012, and Eidesvik has an option to build another unit of the same design.
