Dana finds more Egyptian oil

Takeover target Dana Petroleum has reported a new oil find in Egypt in the Gulf of Suez. Dana said its Fin 1X onshore exploration well in the North Zeit Bay Production Sharing Contract area hit a good-quality oil -bearing sands in a Kareem formation, which was as expected in pre-drill analysis. During a drill stem test, the well which was drilled to a depth of 10,038 ft (3,164 metres), flowed at up to 1,049 b/d of oil through a 52/64-inch choke.
