Published 30.07.2010 16:05:34 by John Bradbury
Topsides are ready for installation on the new platform at the Yme field redevelopment offshore Norway Talisman Energy has declared.

Yme topsides are now complete and ready for load-out from their construction yard in Abu Dhabi, Talisman indicated in its results statement this week.

“Load-out and transportation to Norway is planned during August. Subject to favourable weather conditions for installation of the topsides, first production is anticipated around the end of 2010,” Talisman stated.

Development drilling at Yme has continued throughout the second quarter this year and the drilling programme is expected to be completed by the third quarter, where approximately half of the Can. $117 million development spending was on Yme.

The rest of the cash went on development drilling on other fields, including Brage and Veslefrikk where one infill well was drilled apiece, and a second was infill well was drilling on each at the end of the second quarter.
